Character Generations

Phase1:

First char ever. Accepted default, trained stats and hp's without any clue or thought. Didn't know what leveling eq is, or why your damage is so low compared to other people. Somewhere in the mid teens level wise, you manage to die once per day to all the lowbie killers. But you made a few friends and they help you recreate. A good leveling run 20 minutes for 200 xp.

Phase2:

With some help, you manage to find some leveling eq. You train con, wis and int, you get some decent eq and manage to struggle through the dreaded teens only dying a dozen times. You find off white potions and haste. You get into the low 20's and leveling gets really hard, Roulette borrows every piece of eq that you didn't have tied down, and you learn about containers. You struggle and group into the low 30's, and Gooran sleeps, maladicts, kills, full loots, sacs all your eq and quits b4 you can blink. You either quit for a week and come back determined, whine for a while, delete and recreate or never come back to the mud.

A good leveling run 30 minutes for 600 xp.

Phase3:

You contact your buddies and get a set of leveling eq and lowbie +dam stuff ready, you go into creation and take everything you think you'll need.. you go back into creation after realizing that 60K is to much and come out with a decent 10K char. You train stats a few times, gain a skill or 2 and train hp's. You cruse through the teens and only die 2-3 times. You do some easy levels in time, Roulette only manages to get away with a few things and Gooran full loots you again.. but this time you can handle it and find some new eq. You get into the 40's and find out just how hard 10K is to get. You hit level 43, and die.. a few times.. and find out how hard 10K REALLY is. You learn how to run, how important sanc is.

You gain a skill or 2, and remort.

A good leveling run is 30 minutes for 1000 xp.

Phase4:

Nothing but the best, demand animal growth, boss people around like they are your slaves and bitch and whine your way to self reliance, and loose some of those helpful friends you had b4. This time you train only hp's, your 16K and determined. You slide your way into the low 30's after multi-playing to get yourself eq after bossing people around didn't work. Gooran full loots you again.. you yell at him for 30 minutes to realize he logged out 29 minutes ago. You multi-play some more to re-eq. You get up to 51, dying a few more times.. but that’s all going to stop. Sauron rapes you, you die doing less than 150 damage to him.

You reclass.

A good leveling run is 1 hour for 3000 xp.

Phase5:

This time, you don't even whine, you just go right to multi-playing for your eq. Power through to 51 hp's all-the-way, and actually manage to get your pkill record positive with Carnas. You quest like mad and get some good eq going. Sauron rips you apart.. but you manage to dent him. You pick on Phase 3 chars until you get caught cheating. You learn the mud inside out. You realize life is not all about pkilling.

A good leveling run is 1 hour 5000 xp.

Phase6:

You don't have perfect leveling eq, you don't have every skill, you are not perfect. You die 1 time on the way to 51, reclass and remort. You don't whine and bitch when something goes wrong, your friends from phase 2 talk to you again. You have fun. You almost never die, due to vast experience, in fact you even manage to kill some tough players every now and again with you "inferior" char.

You start hanging out with mudders IRL a lot.

You play some net games at Samanthas.

You drop 38 bucks on a steak at the outback.

The game is social, not pkilling.

A good leveling run is 5 hours for 2000 xp, due to a lot of chatting with friends.
